New Staff - Staff Photographer

January 2019

Visit Estes Park has gone through a lot of changes in the last 12 months. One of the most exciting is the addition of free services to all stakeholders. Visit Estes Park now has a Staff Photographer as a full time employee that is here to help all businesses in Estes Park improve their marketing through free professional photo shoots!

To take advantage of this service simply contact our Partner Development Manager, Abi Huebner, and schedule your 2 hour session. Each session will include 2 hours with our photographer and a professional portfolio to use in your marketing how you see fit. The only catch is that you agree to let Visit Estes Park use the photos in our community marketing as well.

Our photographer, Megan Maitland, is an Estes Park local who has been shooting in and around Estes operating a private photography business. She now joins us as the Visit Estes Park Staff Photographer. Megan will help guide you on what to expect during your shoot, when to expect your final portfolio and will also help guide you with shot suggestions.

When you are planning your shoot we suggest you have a list of ideas before the photographer arrives. This includes all the prep work to maximize the effectiveness of her time. This includes things like:

  • A shot list
  • Staged areas of your business, ready to be shot
  • Models ready and available to interact with your products/business as needed
  • A short list of “must haves” (ex. “Our view of longs from the patio is the best in Town, we want to make sure to capture multiple angles of that”)

If you are unsure, that’s ok! Both Abi and Megan are happy to help you get the most out of your photo shoot so please ask your questions before Megan arrives so that when she is at your business she is shooting as many locations as possible.

This is just one of many new services that Visit Estes Park will offer all Stakeholders in 2019 to help improve your individual marketing. In future blog posts we will highlight these new services and how to take advantage of them. If there are services you feel your business or our community is lacking please let us know! We are always interested in new ways to help each individual business in our community grow and improve.
