Free all summer long, the very popular Cowboy Sing-A-Long with local artist Brad Fitch is in downtown Bond Park every Sunday, Monday and Tuesday at 7 p.m., June 11-August 15.

Westernaires Wild West Show

August 4-5

At the Westernaires Wild West Show, you'll get to see precision drills at speed, along with thrilling horse acrobatics, daring trick riding, trick and fancy roping, Cavalry riders, liberty riding, a dressage exhibition, and much more. It's great family entertainment that frequently leaves the grandstands stomping their feet and clapping their hands with delight! Shows are on Friday and Saturday evenings at 7 p.m.

Princess Mononoke - Studio Ghibli Fest 2023

August 9

Ashitaka, a prince of the disappearing Emishi people, is cursed by a demonized boar god and must journey to the west to find a cure. Along the way, he encounters San, a young human woman fighting to protect the forest, and Lady Eboshi, who is trying to destroy it. Ashitaka must find a way to bring balance to this conflict. Showing at the Historic Park Theatre on August 9 at 7 p.m.

Senior Pro Charity Rodeo

August 12-13

The Senior Pro Charity Rodeo returns to Estes Park August 12-13. Proceeds are given to local charity organizations that have recognition throughout the U.S. (Meals on Wheels, Crossroads Ministry, and Susan G. Komen Foundation) with additional donations to Denver-based Craig Hospital ad local hardship cases.

Isabella Bird Tribute Hike: Anything you can do I can do in a dress

As an ode to Isabella Bird and the other stubborn mountain women who paved the way for women in the outdoors many years ago, Full Potential Wilderness is hosting a free group hike to Twin Sisters Peak on August 17. This hike is a sunrise start and is limited to 12 people plus three guides - Jessy, Brooke and Tara. But one more thing - they're summiting in dresses! Because Isabella Bird did it and we can too!

Performance Park Summer Concert Series - You Know Me When

Throughout the summer, Estes Park is home to a robust series of free concerts held at Performance Park. This outdoor amphitheater features a grassy hillside for concert-goers to lounge on blankets or in folding chairs. Enjoy the fresh mountain air while taking in live music, entertainment and more!

Summer Jazz Series - No Hands Brass Band

Estes Park swings to life every third Sunday, July through September. Beautiful Performance Park will be filled with the sounds of great jazz performed by professional Colorado jazz artists in our mountain amphitheater. These free concerts are produced by jazz musician, Max Wagner, with the Town of Estes Park.

Estes Valley Plein Air

August 19-25

Estes Valley Plein Air kicks off with a Paint Out August 17-23, where artists paint on location within a 50-mile radius of Estes Park, including Rocky Mountain National Park. Everyone is invited to the Riverside Plaza on August 19 to watch the Estes Valley Quick Paint. Stick around for the auction to take home your favorite piece! Then, attend the Plein Air Gala Opening Day on August 25, with a reception from 5-7 p.m. All artwork is for sale through September 24.

Longs Peak Reunion

August 18-20

Celebrate the history of the Longs Peak Trail with the Longs Peak Reunion August 18-20, 2023. A free event, goodwill offerings are accepted. The event will kick off with a free concert at Performance Park on August 18. History buffs can attend an all-day historic symposium on Saturday, August 19 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., featuring speakers detailing historic events that happened on the Longs Peak Trail. Close out the commemorative event on Sunday, August 20 with a free barbecue picnic at the Meeker Park Lodge picnic area. The public is invited and welcome.

Handmade in Colorado Expo

August 25-27

The 16th annual Handmade in Colorado Expo is a juried event showcasing some of Colorado's best fine art and contemporary craft.  The free event will feature a vast array of independent designers producing original handcrafted goods from a wide array of media including metals, paper, glass, fibers, food, fabricated objects, clay, paint, wax, gems and more. Enjoy local live music and great shopping in downtown Estes Park on Friday 11 a.m. - 6 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.​

Historic Fall River Hydroplant Tours

Weekly, Wednesday through Saturday

The Historic Fall River Hydroplant plant was constructed in 1909 to produce electricity for the Stanley Hotel and surrounding areas. Later, F.O. Stanley sold the plant to the Public Service Company of Colorado. In 1945, the Town of Estes Park purchased and maintained the Hydroplant until it was severely damaged in 1982 by the Lawn Lake Flood. Operating as an interpretive site since 2002, the Hydroplant will be open Wednesday – Saturday, 1-4 p.m., May 31 through September 2, 2023.
