Art and music are the personality of any town, but especially in a town like Estes that has so much inspiration living in its back and front yards. Here’s how we can show some love to the soul of Estes right now.

Virtual Friends of Folk Festival

When? Every Tuesday in September; 5-8pm

This festival celebrates Dick Orleans’ legacy with music and community. This year, it’s going virtual on every Tuesday in September on YouTube TV and on the Rocky Mountain Channel. Feel like you’re in Estes as you watch local Estes musicians play at Performance Park. A scholarship fund has also been established for artists of all kinds - apply and find Tuesday night line-ups here.

First Friday Art Groove!

When? The first Friday of every month (as the name suggests); 5-7pm

First Friday is a fun opportunity to explore and support local galleries in Estes. Grab a drink along the way at a few (or all) of the participating “drop stops.” Some galleries host artists or musicians to amp up your experience.

Shop Local

We love a good t-shirt. We really do. We also think that art inspired by and created in the Rockies makes for the perfect souvenir. Check out what all is made in Estes.

Creative Resource List

The mission of the Estes Arts District is to promote and support existing art organizations, art businesses, plus the many individual artists, musicians, singers, dancers and actors in our community. This list compiles all of the many talented artists we brag about.

Cool list, now what? Create a Spotify playlist filled with Estes musicians for your road-trip here or visit the website of an artist that catches your eye to see where their work is featured are a couple of our ideas.

Take a Class!

It’s easy to feel inspired when immersing yourself in nature, specifically the Rocky Mountains. Take that inspiration and turn it into art by taking a class at the Inspired Artisan Market or the Creativity Cabin.
