WELCOMING FILM FESTIVAL ATTENDEES TO ESTES PARK 

In January 2027, the Sundance Film Festival will make its historic debut in Colorado — the first new home for the festival in more than 40 years. Over the course of eleven days, Boulder and Northern Colorado will welcome filmmakers, press, industry professionals, and film lovers from around the world, alongside the kind of global media attention few events bring to our region. Boulder's neighboring communities across the region are positioned to capture meaningful overflow in lodging, dining, retail, and experiences. Estes Park is one of those communities. We're close enough to be a realistic option for festival travelers and distinctive enough to be a memorable choice.

About The Film Festival

The Sundance Film Festival takes place January 21–31, 2027, spanning venues across Boulder including the Boulder Theater, Chautauqua Auditorium, Cinemark Century Boulder, the Dairy Arts Center, the Boulder Public Library's Canyon Theater, and multiple CU Boulder locations.
