  We had a horrible experience when celebrating my wife's birthday. We had requested ahead a special dish and a specific table. When we arrived our table was not available and... read more instead of apologizing, the host tried to argue that we didn't make the request because he didn't find a record of it. He proceeded to give us the worst table in the house (at the entrance to the kitchen and to the restrooms). Eventually the waiter brought out our special request, duck en croute, to show us the completed baked entree for two. Unfortunately he did not return with the plated dinners for about ten minutes. By then the entree was luke warm so we asked him to warm it up. So this brought the chef/owner to our table claiming that the duck was cooked to the perfect wellness. We tried to explain that we only wanted the entree to be warmer, but he would not listen. To our amazement he then asked us to leave! Never in my life have I been kicked out of a restaurant, but hear we were... simply for saying the dinner was not warm enough.

On our 2nd night we both had the scallops which were well prepared and cooked just right. The honeycomb/ice cream with rhubarb dessert was excellent. Everything we had was beautifully prepared and well presented. The outdoor patio is a pleasant setting, the service was excellent, and the drinks were great. Excellent dining experience.
