Thank you to everyone that joined us for the January 2016 Tourism Industry Association of Colorado (TIAC) Legislative Reception and Tourism Day at the Capitol. Estes Park was the most represented destination state-wide with 14 partners in attendance (thank you to the Estes Area Lodging Association for covering the cost of many of the Estes attendees).
Networking included meeting with many legislators, including Representative Buck and Senator Lundberg, members of the Joint Budget Committee, TIAC lobbyist, and tourism colleagues from across the State. The goal we are working toward is for the State of CO to maintain the current tourism budget of $19 million, despite proposed state budget cuts of $373 million.
