Snow is no reason to stop hiking! Though your favorite footpath may be covered in deep powder, why pine for spring when you can slip on a pair of snowshoes and get out on the trail all winter long? Snowshoeing, after all, is simply hiking in winter.
Watch live igloo making demonstrations by Grand Shelters, from 10am - 2pm. Grand Shelters is rewriting the book on winter camping, providing resources and equipment to support your overnight winter adventure!
Winter Trails Day is a free snowshoe festival with hundreds of demo snowshoes for adults and children; advice from snowshoe experts, demos snowshoes to try out and outdoor gear displays . Bring food and water. Note: Beginning at 2:00 PM, the available quantity of demo equipment will be restricted; so be sure to arrive early enough so that you can demo each and every model!
