The Rocky Mountain Conservancy is offering a two-day, highly interactive and fun course teaching the basics and beyond of digital photography from May 30-31. Join instructor Eli Vega in Beginning Digital Photography: Learning the Basics to learn the mechanics of digital cameras, menu items, f/stops, shutter speeds, exposure, different types of lenses, and composition.

Participants will spend the first day in a classroom setting for a PowerPoint presentation and group discussion. Day two will be spent in the beautiful Rocky Mountain National Park where Vega will help participants begin applying newly-learned techniques. Participants should expect short distance walks on mostly level terrain.

Vega is an award-winning photographer, author, and extensively published photo artist with more than 20 years of experience in the field of photography. He is a sought-after presenter and art competition judge for several camera clubs. He is known for his mantras: “the best photography is found where technical know-how and creative aesthetics meet” and “I don’t see with my eyes; I see with my imagination.” In addition to his freelance work, he is also a photography instructor for Arapahoe Community College, the Ozark Natural Science Center in Arkansas, and other venues.
