Child's Play Folk Rock Band at The Rock Inn Mountain Tavern

April 8

The band’s members come from many musical backgrounds. We call our musical offering “dirt road folk”. Music you’d expect to hear down the road at your friend’s house, or coming from the radio while you work on your car, or clean the house. There is no particular genre of music that we prefer. We think folks love all kinds of music, and we try to provide a mix of genres that represents a little of everything. You won’t hear much top 40 from our band; but, you will hear stuff from many varied artists that you don’t get to hear from other groups. Some old country, some classic rock, some old and new bluegrass. Live at The Rock1675 State Highway 66, Estes Park, CO 80517; (970) 214 2953; rockinnestes.com

Chain Station Live at The Rock Inn Mountain Tavern

April 29

Chain Station is a 4-piece, high-energy, get ‘em out on the dance floor string band from Denver, Colorado. Their music is well-steeped in Americana roots, with vocal harmonies that are high, lonesome, and tight. Their picking ranges from lightning-fast to mountain mellow. They are a bluegrass band that would satisfy a picky old-timer and delight fans of newgrass, a delicate balance indeed. They've become known for winning over crowds with creative, fun original songs that flow from the mountains, through them and right back to you. Pure Mountain Music! It's obvious these guys love what they do, engaging their growing fan base with energy and stage antics that guarantee one hell of a night out.
