Mary Benke is an award –winning artist who combines the creative use of texture, color, and design to evoke emotion and a strong sense of imagery in her paintings.
For “Lyrical Landscapes,” she explored new techniques, creating highly textural pieces with the use of water-mixable oils, cold wax, and some unique tools including a silicone scraper and spatulas, along with brushes and palette knives.
During Opening Weekend, two Door Prizes will be offered. A gilcee print donated by Mary Benke and a handwoven scarf donated by Chris Switzer. The Public can enter for one or both of these by coming by the gallery or by sending an email address/phone number to firstname.lastname@example.org
