Longs Peak 5 Miler
Experience Colorado’s best mountain views along the Longs Peak 5K. The prominent fourteener, Longs Peak, is Northern Colorado’s highest mountain at 14, 259- Ft.. Longs Peak, and a chain of magnificent peaks along the Continental Divide, are located in Rocky Mountain National Park. From the Lake Estes trail, runners will experience views of Longs Peak, Mount Meeker, Thatchtop Mountain, Storm Peak, Mount Lady Washington, Otis Peak, Flat Top Mountain, The Mummy Range and Lumpy Ridge as well as hear sounds of the gentle waves along the lake shoreline. SHINING TWIN CHALLENGE! “Warm-up” your legs at the Longs Peak 5 Miler on Saturday and RACE the Estes Park Half Marathon on Sunday and receive a discounted entry fee and special finisher recognition medal. Enjoy this scenic challenge! Sign up when you register!
In-person Registration & Packet Pick-up: ONLY Saturday, 6:30- 7:45 AM, at the Estes Park High School Commons, 1600 Manford Ave.
Race Start time: 8:00AM
Start Line Location: North of the High School building and east of The Observatory
Finish Line: The Estes Park High School Track & Field, adjacent to Brodie Ave and School buildings.
Runners & Walkers receive: Official Longs Peak 5 Mile performance shirt, finisher medal and a delicious DONUT, yum!
RACE COURSE: The Longs Peak 5 Miler race starts Northeast of High School and The Observatory, on a dirt connector path. Runners and walkers will join the Lake Estes Multi-use Trail and follow the trail counter-clockwise around the scenic Lake Estes. The finish line is at the High School Track & Field. All participants receive a Finisher Medal and a delicious Donut at the finish line! The KIDS, KIDS, KIDS: BIKE, RUN, FUN! festival begins at 9:00AM at the Track and Field following the Longs Peak 5 Mile. Enjoy the Father’s Day fun run and play!
