Every August, well-known artists from all over the country converge on Estes Park for Estes Valley Plein Air. These juried and invited artists have a limited amount of time to paint “en plein air,” a French term meaning “in the open air.” They paint on location in Rocky Mountain National Park, all over the Estes Valley, and within 50 miles of Estes Park. Special events in conjunction with EVPA include “Paint Our Town,” a nocturne paint out opportunity, and Quick Draw, in which the artists paint in Riverside Park in the morning and have their completed works up for auction immediately after.
Gala Reception, 5 – 8 p.m. Awards at 6:30 p.m. All artwork is for sale.
