Emily Pennington is one half of the band Trouble's Braids
Trouble’s Braids combines poignant lyricism, rich female and male harmonies, and great hooks with an unflinching curiosity about the hidden corners of the human experience, all with a wink and a nod that invites the audience to come play. We’ve gigged out across the Front Range, including Gold Hill, Spirit Hound, Trident, Bootstrap Brewing, The St. Julien, and Roots Music Project.
Our influences are broad, drawing inspiration from classic songwriters like Bob Dylan, John Prine, and Lucinda Williams, as well as more contemporary acts like Big Thief, The Decemberists, Mitski, and Tom Waits. We’re finishing up an EP as we speak, but in the meantime, you can check out some tunes and live videos here: https://troublesbraidsmusic.com/
