7th Annual Creative Colorado Tabelesetting/Scaping 2023: Friday - Sunday, November 17 - 19, 2023, at The Dunraven at Estes Park Resort, 1700 Big Thompson Ave., Estes Park, CO 80517. The Creative Colorado Tablesetting/Scaping Event is a fundraiser held by the Estes Park Museum Friends & Foundation, Inc. in support of the Estes Park Museum.

The Creative Colorado Tablesetting/Scaping is a table settings contest which provides entrants a chance to demonstrate their talents in the creating an attractive dining tables that reflect this year’s theme. Each competitive entry is reviewed by an independent panel of judges, who determine prize ribbon winners based on creativity, design and adherence to contest and category criteria. Once all the tables have been set, the judging has finished and the ribbons awarded, the doors will open to the public. The three blue ribbon winners in the competitive division will be voted upon by the attending public for the Julie Farnham Best of Show Award. Every entry will be voted upon for the People’s Choice Award by the attending public.
This year's contest is a 3-day event held on November 17-19, 2023. The schedule is as follows:
- Friday, November 17, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. - Set-up
- Saturday, November 18, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. - Tablesetting/scaping Show open
- Sunday, November 19, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. – Tablesetting/scaping Show open | 3 p.m. – Awards Ceremony | 3:30 to 4:00 p.m. – Clean Up
The Tablesetting/Scaping Competition is open to individuals, pairs, teams, and commercial organizations/businesses of all kinds. Each contestant is asked to select a menu and then design place settings for two that reflect the contest theme and the menu chosen.
Contestants select a design category: (1) Formal, (2) Informal or (3) Tablescape/Freestyle. Settings can feature classic, vintage, contemporary, or a mixture of flatware and tableware. Competitive contestants receive Judges comments, and winners receive ribbons and compete in a Best in Show Contest. Non-competitve participants may asked to be judged and receive a private evaluation sheet.

Competitive Entry Fee: 2 settings, 29” X 48” table space - $30
Non-Competitive Entry Fees:
2 Settings, card table or small square table - $30
4 settings, rectangular table - $60
6 settings, rectangular or round table - $90
All proceeds go to support the Estes Park Museum.
Registration opens Sunday, September 17, 2023 at the Tablesetting 101 event which will be held at 2 p.m. at the Estes Park Museum. The second 101 event will be held on Monday, September 18 at 5:30 p.m. Registration closes on Friday, November 10, 2023.
