In 1913, long after hunting had eliminated the local elk, Stanley Mountain Wagons were used to help transport a herd from Yellowstone that continues to thrive here today. You can hear this remarkable story during a 90-minute tour of the home once owned by F.O. and Flora Stanley. The ticket price for tours on Saturday and Sunday, October 1 and 2, will be discounted to $10 per person, with children under 12 free. Reservations need to be made in advance at our website. Tours start at the Estes Park Visitor Center, from where you’ll travel by shuttle to the Stanley home.
