Hop on a private winter tour with Explore Estes to tour the Rocky Mountain National Park during our snowy months to experience a winter wonderland! You can also enjoy an hour of sledding in the National Park on our NEW Private Winter Tour + Sledding Excursion in Rocky Mountain National Park!
Our general route on this 4 – 5 hour winter tour picks you up at your location in Estes Park, takes you through beautiful meadows to see a freezing waterfall, you’ll be taken up the famous Trail Ridge Road as far as it is opened for the season, and if conditions allow, end with an easy snowshoe-like walk around a frozen Bear Lake or Sprague Lake. (Both flat & less than a mile) You will also get to visit the Beaver Meadows Visitor Center before heading back to Estes Park to shop for souvenirs! Or add a sledding excursion in the Hidden Valley for a 5 - 6 hour tour!
This guided experience is not a hiking tour, and instead focuses on driving through the National Park with small strolls while learning about the early stories and history of Estes Park and the Rocky Mountain National Park.
We’re more than happy to customize your experience and even remove the snowshoeing for your winter tour if you would like to stay in the warmth of our vehicle.
- Permit: Your entrance fee is included. A $30 value!
