Running just got a lot more scenic! Estes Park welcomes the Rocky Mountain Half Marathon, Saturday August 17, and the Aspen Climber Trail Race, Sunday August, 18th.  Runners of all ages will be ascending to Estes Park to test their legs and lungs in two of the most beautiful running races in the country.


Rocky Mountain Half Marathon, August 17th, 2013: 

The Rocky Mountain Half Marathon is part of the Vacation Races National Park Half Marathon Series. Vacation Races goal is to provide an incredible experience near the most beautiful places in the world. Registration is now open and on August 17th at 6:00am sharp, runners will leave the start line and embark on a course that weaves through the village of Estes Park all while enjoying grand views of the Continental Divide.

After the race, runners can stop by the Stanley Hotel to explore the Runner's Expo with vendors and more fun.

Welcoming causal runners and elite races alike, awards will be given to the top 5 Male and Female runners overall as well as the Masters 40+ group. Additionally, the top 5 in each age group will also receive an award. All runners will receive a medal.

Aspen Climber Trail Race Run, August 17-18, 2013:

The Aspen Climber is a trail race like no other, with elements to prepare participants both physically and mentally for this mountain race. Tai Chi, yoga, meditations and visualizations kick off this two-day experience. Then, on the August 18, racers will gear up for the three-mile trail race through the lands of Aspen Lodge Resort with amazing views of Mt. Meeker and Longs Peak.
