In the Colorado Rockies during the Fall mating season, the bull elk are busy looking for a mate. The unique rutting call of a bull elk can be heard from a great distance. In the early morning or evening hours you can head to Rocky Mountain National Park and stop at Horseshoe Park to catch the sights and sounds of the Elk. In recent years, some of the elk activity has moved into the town of Estes Park, and onto the local golf course. The Elk activity often catches the attention of regional and national media.
