Streams and ponds have an abundance of creatures living just below the surface and around the shoreline. By using dip nets and hand lenses, kids will explore the stream and learn about some of the macroinvertebrates found in the shallow waters of the Big Thompson and Colorado Rivers. Evidence of larger animals will also be discussed as the group moves along the river bank. The role that these different organisms play in the food web will be discussed. Entrance into Rocky Mountain National Park for this class is included in the registration fee. Please ask for details when you register.
