Beavers play an extremely important part in the Rocky Mountain ecosystem. Delve into their daily lives, including social structure and building of dams and lodges. Follow in the footsteps of Enos Mills around Estes Park as we visit beaver colonies described in his book, In Beaver World. We will also explore the interplay of the beaver with other species like aspens, willows, elk, trout, birds, and even wolves. Each species is in some way connected to the survival and health of the beaver in Rocky Mountain National Park. As the day wanes, we will observe beavers as they begin their evening activities.
