We are happy to share that Estes Park's recovery from last year's flood is close to 100%. The village fared very well, the riverwalk went undamaged and all of the affected Estes Park businesses have reopened. We are so grateful for the support Estes Park has received from friends across the globe, and look forward to welcoming you. Estes Park is Open! How to Get to Estes Park:
For the most up-to-date information, please call the Estes Park Visitor Center close to your arrival date at 800-443-7837.
- Hwy 34 (Loveland to Estes Park)
Take Hwy 34 from Loveland to Estes Park. View A Map. Some construction may be occurring from 8-4pm, so please allow for additional time.
- Hwy 7 (Lyons to Estes Park)
A scenic alternative to Highway 36, this route is recommended until major construction subsides on US Highway 36. Take Hwy 7 south out of Lyons, looping east and north through Allenspark to Estes Park.Vew a Map
- Scenic 'Peak to Peak' Highway, view a View a Map.
Take Hwy 119 north through Black Hawk, follow north to town of Nederland, (Hwy119 turns into Hwy 72), continue on Hwy 72 to where it meets Hwy 7, take a left at the stop sign and follow Hwy 7 past Allenspark into Estes Park.
- Hwy 36 Westbound (Lyons to Estes Park)
While the highway has reopened since the flood with temporary repairs, construction is taking place this fall, Monday - Friday. There is no construction or delays on Saturday or Sundays. Alternate routes of Highway 7 or 34 are recommended during the weekdays. Please check back for current conditions if planning summer travel. Take Hwy 36 from Lyons to Estes Park. View A Map. - Hwy 34 Eastbound (Grand Lake to Estes Park)
US Highway 34/Trail Ridge Road through Rocky Mountain National Park is still officially open. However, periodic closures are possible due to changing weather and snow conditions. This scenic mountain road is the highest continuous paved road in North America and reaches alpine tundra. Learn more about Trail Ridge Road on the Scenic Drives page. Entry into the national park is required. Travelers are encouraged to check the Trail Ridge Road hotline at 970-586-1222 970-586-1222 for current conditions.
