Summer is Estes Park is nothing less than magical.  Whether hiking above timberline to a glacial
lake in Rocky Mountain National Park, enjoying an evening stroll down the river walk or taking advantage of the many festivals and events downtown, there is something for everyone. We asked our Estes Park Facebook Fans to tell us their favorite things to do in Estes Park during the summer. We received many great suggestions and have compiled them into this Summer Must-Do List:

"I like to start the day with a hearty breakfast at Notchtop Bakery & Cafe, then head into RMNP for a day of hiking & exploring. After hiking, I usually head over to Kind Coffee for a cup of tea. I like to sit beside the river and unwind. Tradition steers me to the Rock Inn Mountain Tavern for dinner on our first night in town. That's my perfect day in Estes Park!" - Donna D

"A trip up Old Fall River road to the visitor center. A hike around Bear Lake. A picnic at Sprague Lake and watch the sun set at Lilly Lake. Breakfast at the Big Horn and burgers, fries and a shake at Penelope's. Can't forget fresh chocolate cake donuts at the Donut Haus at 7 am! A new place for us, last year, was the Baldpate Inn. Soup, salad and bread all you can eat, and fresh rhubarb pie and ice cream for dessert."  - Joni K

"Love to go out to Sprague Lake early in the morning when the lake is still. It is so peaceful and
if you are lucky you might get a glimpse of a Moose! Great place for photography! My husband also loves the 4th of July fireworks & the Rooftop Rodeo!" - Chris M

"Hiking all day in RMNP, enjoying a yummy dinner in town, then relaxing under the stars outside our cabin at the YMCA!" - Leesah N

"In the Tundra, look closely at the unbelievable variety of miniature wildflowers surrounding me. My favorite place to do this is on the trail leading from Medicine Bow Curve, so peaceful with the Never Summer Mountains towering in the distance." - Marie G

"Lunch at Bob and Tonys...driving through the park...stopping along the way...hiking and walking the shops in the evening" - Marva B

"We have been coming to Estes for over 30 years. Our favorite activity is still sitting by Fall River
listening to the water run." -  Debbi S

"Picnic starting early in the morning in Wild Basin. I love to find a spot and sit by the river and read and play games with my family and relax" - Carolyn S
