With the month of October our minds turn to ghouls and goblins and spirits of all kinds, and the basement of Estes Park’s American Legion Hall turns into a haunted house worthy of your chills and thrills and freaks and shrieks! All souls are invited to experience this 2nd Annual electrifying opportunity each Friday and Saturday in October from 7-10 pm.

The Murder Mystery Dinner features a theatrical presentation of murder and suspense leavened with humor. It explores suspects throughout the room in the context of a gourmet 4-course meal hosted in the Victorian-style MacGregor Ballroom
• Doors open at 5:30pm with dinner starting at 6:30pm
• Price is $320 per couple or $170 per person inclusive of tax and gratuity
• Price includes a 4-course gourmet dinner, entertainment, and complimentary glass of wine
• Must be 21 or older

The wildly popular Shining Ball returns to the Concert Hall featuring a live performance by The Gasoline Lollipops. Participants will compete for prizes with imaginative, macabre, and daring costumes that will be paraded through the hotel, so dress to impress. Festive hors d’oeuvres, delightful drink, dancing and cavorting among the imaginative, Shining-themed decor will bring new chills to the hottest night of the Halloween season.

The Stanley Hotels legendary Masquerade Party closes out Twin Terror Weekends on Saturday, October 28th. This frightful night will feature live music, dancing, drinks, hors d’oeuvres, and imaginative Halloween costumes.

The Rock Inn's annual Halloween Party lives on this year with the BooGrass live music by the popular bluegrass band, Chain Station. Frightful fun, dancing and encouraged costumes will ensure a spooky good time! Dress to impress at the band will be hosting a Halloween costume contest for fun prizes! 9:00 pm – 1:00 am

This is the main event! Get your costumes ready for trick-or-treating Estes Park style! We close down Elkhorn Ave. (main street) at 5:30 PM on Halloween and the entire community comes out for a hauntingly good time! Characters go door-to-door among the shops to get their bags filled with candy. There's a haunted ambulance, unique Halloween window displays, a Thriller zombie dance (a la Michael Jackson) in the main intersection and tons of fun is had by all!. You don't want to miss this frighteningly good time for all ages. Oh - and don't be the only parents without costumes - this event is for the WHOLE family!
