The National Park System turns 100 years old in 2016 and Rocky Mountain National Park turns 101 years old! To celebrate these special occasions, the National Park System offers 16 days of free entrance to national parks in 2016! 

Mark your calendars for these entrance fee-free dates in 2016: 

  • January 18 - Martin Luther King Jr. Day
  • April 16 - April 24 - National Park Week
  • August 25 - August 28: National Park Service Birthday
  • September 24 - National Public Lands Day
  • November 11 - Veterans Day 

Don't forget any fourth grade student can get a free annual pass through the Every Kid in a Park program, and active duty military and citizens with a permanent disability can also get free passes.
